User Profile (My Profile)

Your User Profile is your professional identity in Actualog. It is used for:

  • collaboration and trust (people decide whether to work with you),
  • discoverability (search and community filtering),
  • correct defaults (time zone, currency, language context),
  • governance (who edited what, and why).

You can edit your profile at any time from Settings → Personal (My Profile).

Open User Profile.

Profile header: avatar, name, and facets

Avatar

Your avatar is shown across Actualog (comments, edits, expert lists, audit events).
Click the camera icon on the avatar to upload or change your photo.

Best practice: use a real professional photo or a consistent business avatar to improve trust.

Display name

Your name appears on your public profile and in collaboration activity. Use your real name (or a professional name your organization recognizes).

Facets (your expertise tags)

Facets are the “skills + domain” tags that make you searchable in communities.

  • Add facets that describe your expertise, products, and industries.
  • Use them to help colleagues find you when they search for experts in a domain.
  • Keep them precise (5–15 strong tags is better than 50 vague ones).

Use the Edit button in the Facets area to add/remove tags.

Multilingual name fields

Your First Name and Last Name fields can be stored in multiple languages (depending on your selected data languages).
This is useful for international collaboration and correct display in different locales.

  • Fill English as your reference spelling.
  • Add additional languages only if they are meaningful for your work.

“About me, my offers and expectations”

This is your short professional summary. It should answer in 2–5 lines:

  • What do you do?
  • What domains/products do you work with?
  • What do you offer or what are you looking for?

Best practice: keep it factual and specific. This field is often what triggers invitations to companies and collaboration requests.

Location and business defaults (right panel)

These settings improve collaboration and reduce friction in catalogs and workflows.

Country

Used for localization and business context (and may affect tax/format defaults where applicable).

Currency

Used as a default for commercial contexts (pricing, catalogs, offers) and reporting views.

Time zone

Controls how times are displayed for:

  • audit and history events,
  • notifications,
  • catalog availability windows,
  • collaboration timestamps.

Set this carefully—time zone errors are one of the most common causes of “why is this time wrong?” in enterprise tools.

Phone (optional)

Useful for B2B collaboration. Provide it only if you are comfortable sharing it in professional contexts.

Birthday and gender (optional)

These fields are optional. Fill them only if you want them in your profile context.

Saving changes

Click Save Changes to apply updates.
If you edit multilingual fields, make sure each language row contains the intended spelling/content before saving.

Your profile is part of a bigger “Account & Settings” space. Other related pages include:

  • Languages — your data languages (what language rows appear in multilingual editors)
  • Notifications — which events you track and how often you receive updates
  • Emails — email preferences and delivery settings
  • Social — public links and connected accounts
  • Communities — communities you joined and your discovery context
  • Companies — workspaces you belong to and roles you have

Tip: If your goal is to be discoverable as an expert, focus on Facets, About, and Communities first. If your goal is operational work in a company, focus on Companies, roles, and time zone/currency.
